I saw this quote and it struck a chord in me. As I have battled with the spirit of condemnation like never before in this season, my response was ‘but they will sure try’. The key words in his quote are ‘feel’ and ‘permission’. I started thinking about taking the first step which is not receiving. You cannot feel what you have not received. Step two was not to give permission at all to eventually negate step one. 
I am thankful that words spoken and written many years ago still can apply today just like the Bible. He uses His Word to speak and sometimes He gives wisdom to others to speak them.
